Basudha's ambit of work includes conservation of local musical traditions. With this objective, Dr. Deb's plan to take two Baul singers to Shilaidaha, to organize a meeting of two schools of Baul music across the international border, was supported by UK film maker Andrew Weeks. Andrew sponsored and accompanied two Baul singers, D. Deb and Dr. Mita Dutta on this mission from the 10th to 15th Nov 2011.
